Born in 1980 to Iranian parents, Shabnam Bahmanian grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and completed her BFA in Jewelry/Metal Arts at California College of the Arts.*

Shabnam draws inspiration from her travels to different parts of the world and her work is greatly influenced by Middle Eastern and Asian cultures. In addition to her work with metals, Shabnam releases her creative energy through international foods, ceramic pottery, and abstract painting.

Since 2002, Shabnam has been creating artistic jewelry using a variety of metals including silver, gold, and copper. She textures her pieces by etching, forging, and stamping raw metals into her artistic vision.
